John Micheal “Mike” Dixon, age 79, of Rocky Face and formerly of the Tilton community, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Babe and Ruby Dixon; brother, Robert Dixon; sisters, Myrtle Silvers, and Willie Mae Bryant.
John was a member of the Tilton Masonic Lodge, #291 F&AM and a lifetime member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Dixon; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Lyle Grant of Varnell, Tammy and Scott England of Chatsworth; son, John Tyler Dixon of California; sisters, Jewel Wilson of Benton, TN, and Ruth Nealy of Dalton; grandchildren, Troy and Andrea Lanier, Laura and Barry Elrod, Steven and Christina Grant, Nichole Townsend, and Aaron and Maria Knight; ten great- grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Shane “Booger” Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the service time at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
