Tammy L. Ferrell, 60 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born Tuesday, August 2, 1960 in Livingston, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Norman Ferrell, Jean Swallows, and step-father Rex Swallows.

Tammy was a graduate of Rickman High School in the late 1970's and married her high school sweetheart, Bruce Wiley. Later she married Gary Novicoff.

She was stubborn and rebellious, with a wicked addiction to black coffee. She lived by her own rules doing what she wanted to do. She grew up on the rodeo circuit during the weekends and summers. She learned many things including riding, roping, barrel racing and buggy races, winning the title of Putnam County Rodeo Barrel Princes.

Tammy dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, but life happened. However, her love of all creatures turned into her passion for caring for the elderly. She was fearless, enjoying any adventure, especially traveling and music.

She had a great appreciation for those serving in the military and all first responders.

She was loved deeply by her mother, Jean Swallows.

There will be private family memorial service Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Hilham Church of God, Old Union Road, Hilham.
