Mrs. Helen Scrivner Phillips, 70, of Richmond, a former resident of Lexington, the widow of James Robert Phillips, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her home in Richmond.
Helen was born on August 16, 1950, in Madison County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Helton and Lucille McBride Scrivner. She was a retired Customer Service Supervisor for General Telephone Company and was a member of The Big Hill Christian Church in Richmond.
Survivors include her son: Dwayne Phillips (Jennifer); two grandchildren: Mary Kathryn Phillips and Jackson Bales; two sisters-in-law: Gertrude Scrivner and Anna Scrivner; her nieces and nephews including, Jennifer Duerson (Jeff), Germaine Hobbs, Robbie Scrivner (Janet), Kim Goins (Tim), Steve Scrivner (Debbie), Helen “Missy” Ramsey (Doyle), Raymie Brooks (Michael) and David Scrivner Jr. (Jody) as well as several great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers: Bobby, Cecil, Jimmy and David Scrivner.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Whitaker and Johny Collins officiating. This service may be viewed via a Live-Stream Webcast available on Helen’s obituary at www.cpcfh.com. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, KY.
Visitation will be from 4-6 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jeff Duerson, Robbie Scrivner, David Scrivner, Kyle Hamm, Clay Wilburn and Jackson Bales.
Due to COVID 19 Mandates, face coverings and social distancing will be observed.
