He attended Goodway Pentecostal Church and was a retired fish farmer. He retired after twenty-four years of service in the Mississippi Army National Guard, where he was the recipient of the Top Gun Award. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Boyette is survived by his wife, Peggy Jane Boyette of Courtland, MS; three daughters, Christy Funkhauser (James) of Madisonville, KY; Teresa Cologne (Patrick) of Hernando, MS; Brittany Smith (Bobby) of Courtland, MS; one son, Donald Todd (Alisha) Courtland, MS; his parents, Geneva Lee Boyette and Jimmy Leodus Boyette of Pope, MS; three sisters, Debbie Patton (Leon) of Enid, MS; Rita Locke (Larry) Enid, MS; and Jimmie Faye Boyette of Pope, MS; four brothers, Randy Boyette of Pope, MS; Ronald Boyette of Senatobia, MS; Donald Boyette (Kim) of Senatobia, MS; and Scotty Boyette (Zenda) of Enid, MS; and thirteen grandchildren.
