Obituary for Harry James King
Harry James King, 73, of Ooltewah went to be with The Lord on February 16, 2021. Harry is a member at Clear Creek Church of Christ in Hixson. He also is a Veteran of the Marines; and served in Vietnam where he was awarded Purple Heart. Mr. King is also a member of the American Leigon Post 95 in East Ridge Tn.

He is preceded in death by his mother Elsie Land King; his brother who was Killed in Action in Vietnam Michael Eli King; and his grandson Bryson Scott.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Bernnie Hudgens King; son Brandon (Sonya) Hudgens; his fur baby Lenny; 2 grandchildren Bailey Scott Hudgens and Gavin Lee Hudgens. Also surviving is his brother Larry “Butch” (Janice) Robertson; neice and nephew Brian (Lindsey) Robertson, Andrea (Jim) Medlin; brothers in law Mitch Hudgens, Billy (Debbie) Hudgens; sisters in law Cindy Hudgens, Pam Hudgens; many dear friends and several great neices and great nephews.

A funeral service will be held in the Ft. Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday February 20, 2021 with Pastor Josh Diggs Officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday February 19, 2021 from 2 – 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service in the parlor of the funeral home. A burial will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.
