Thomas William Caldwell was born on March 16, 1938, in Brazoria County, Texas. He passed away on February 2, 2021 in Brazoria County, Texas.. Tommy died peacefully at home in the beautiful Texas Hill Country after many months of medical setbacks. Tommy never stopped fighting as he was a man’s man, determined to beat the odds. His wife of 32+ years and his two beloved kitties were at side.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Alda Austin Caldwell and John House Caldwell as well as his two older brothers. Surviving him are his wife and best friend, Priscilla Caldwell, daughter Kellye Caldwell Sheley (David) of Horseshoe Bay, TX and his son Christopher Caldwell (Sarah) of Jones Creek, TX. Also surviving are grandsons Hunter Caldwell (Brett), Garrett Caldwell and Everlee Caldwell, great granddaughter.

He graduated from Brazosport High School and later attended/graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX with an AG Business degree. Tommy was a cattle rancher, a rodeo competitor, a dad, a son, a husband, a grandfather, a friend and animal and nature lover as well as an avid hunter and fisherman.

In retirement, he and his wife Priscilla settled in Burnet in the Texas Hill Country. On their property, Tommy loved observing and feeding the many wildlife species. He especially enjoyed watching the many fawns that were born every year as well as a feisty flock of wild turkeys. His two fur babies, Rowdy and Sugar, will certainly miss their “human.”

So many extended family members and friends will be missing their beloved family member and friend, Tommy Caldwell. A graveside service at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, 4219 S Park Road 4, Burnet, TX 78611, pending inclement weather, is scheduled on February 26 at 1 pm.
