Victor Smith, 92, passed away February 9, 2010 in Montgomery, AL. Born in Irving, KY his family moved to Alabama in 1940. He served in the Navy for 5 years before settling in Montgomery and marrying Dorothy Jean Haye on October 15, 1959. They were married for 48 years. A business owner who loved cooking, gardening and Alabama football he was a member of the National Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Smith; his parents Otis V. Smith and Etta Mae Smith; his siblings Marie Parker and Alice Gibson. Victor is survived by his sisters Wanda (Jerry) McLendon and Katherine "Kitty" Whittington; daughters Sandra Morrison and Vickie (Scott) King; grandchildren James (Jamie) Morrison, Ashley (Michael) Bishop, Jordan King and Weldon King; and great grandchildren Haley Bishop, Michael Bishop II, Ben Morrison, Kadence Morrison, Addison Bishop and James “Jay” Morrison. Pallbearers will be Larry Alford, Scott King, Jamie Morrison, Michael Bishop Sr., Michael Bishop II, and B.J. Nave. A visitation is set for 10:00-11:00 am at Leak Memory Chapel for February 16, 2021 with a graveside to follow at 11:00 am in Greenwood Cemetery. Larry Alford will be officiating.
