James R. Dick, of Sewell, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. He was 77. A hard working and dedicated man, Jim loved the simple and fulfilled life that he lived with those he loved the most. He was a loyal companion to the love of his life, Lillian, a proud father of his 2 sons and he adored being a grandfather. Jim was passionate about many things his life had to offer. He was a proud member of the United States National Guard. For work, Jim was a custodian for the Washington Township Board of Education, serving 23 years before retirement. He enjoyed tending to his property where he and his family raised many animals and grew plentiful vegetable gardens. Away from work, Jim found solace hunting and fishing with his sons. Son of the late William and Ruth (Powell) Dick, he is the beloved husband of 48 years to Lillian (nee Everwine); devoted father of James Jr. (Jennifer) and David (Megan); cherished brother to Bill (Linda) and Terry (Colleen) and the late Shirley and Edna; loving grandfather to Anthony, Ayden, Ashton, Audrey, Vivian and Isabel. Jim is also survived by his dear friends David, Jim, Dan, Tim, Amedeo and Patrick; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 8:00AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Washington Township, 573 Egg Harbor Road. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 10:00AM in the funeral home with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sewell, NJ.
