Justin Lee Guy, 32, of Plainfield, a longtime Martinsville resident, passed from this life on Friday, May 26, 2017 in Martinsville. He was born Wednesday, August 8, 1984 in Indianapolis, IN to Billy Dale Guy and Gerri (Babbs) Guy.
Justin was a Martinsville High School graduate with the Class of 2003 and a Trine University graduate with the Class of 2007, receiving a bachelor's degree in sports management with a minor in business. He was also a four-year member of the Martinsville Artesians and Trine University Basketball teams. He wasalso a member The Branches Church in Plainfield, IN and the New Life Christian Church in Paragon, IN, where he was also baptized.
He was employed by Shred-It in Indianapolis, where he was a driver. He also refereed and coached for several area basketball games. He enjoyed basketball, bowling, golfing and fishing. His greatest joy was time spent with his only son, Camden.
Justin leaves behind a host of loving family and friends including his wife and son, Lauren (Rash) and Camden Lee Guy of Plainfield. He and Lauren were married October 5, 2013. He also leaves behind his father, Billy Dale Guy; mother, Gerri Guy; brother, Billy Dale (wife, Jaymi) Guy, Jr.; niece, Anabelle Guy all of Martinsville; grandmother, Rita J. Babbs of Ellettsville and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Jo and Juanita A. Guy and Hugh W. and Betty Catherine Babbs.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 pm and Friday, June 2nd one hour prior to the service at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating Justin's life will begin Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Justin will be laid to rest following the service at Olive Cemetery in Paragon, IN.
