She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 12, 1937, daughter of the late Elsie Chaston and Archie Daniel Petersen. She was preceded in death by a son Samuel G. Freeman.
Survivors include her loving husband Ralph L. Freeman; her stepmother Mary N. Petersen; her children Ralph P. Freeman and wife Karla, David S. Freeman and wife Rachel, Derek P. Freeman and wife Erin, Jeremy R. Freeman and wife Heidi, Kristine E. Flamm and husband Douglas, Tamara L. Freeman, Pamela D. Jones and husband Richard, Rebecca E. Wothuis and husband Frank, Jennifer L. Winder and husband Travis and Megan C. Risner and husband Tom. She is also survived by 47 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2034 Great Falls Street-Falls Church, VA on Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 6-8 PM where funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 12:00 PM. An additional visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM on Friday at the church. Interment National Memorial Park.
