Karen Lee Allen, 79, retired Via Christi Health Partners Leasing Coordinator, died Tuesday, February 16,
2021. She was born October 5, 1941 in Wichita KS to Charles and Inez (Thompson) Westfall.
She married Jack L Allen and lived in Wichita KS for many years and then settled in Udall KS for the
remainder of her days. She worked for CIT for a few years, next was the Apothecary Shop as a
bookkeeper which sold to Hudson Pharmacy / Doctors Building, she became a leasing coordinator for
Clifton Medical Center and Bluffview Office Medical Park which ultimately fell under Via Christi now
Ascension. She enjoyed writing the leases and helping Doctors schedule remodeling of their offices and
suites until she retired.
Her joy always remained her family, faith and love. She delighted in watching all the birds come and
feed outside the back doors daily with her husband while she had her morning coffee.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Inez Westfall as well as her in-laws Robert and
Clara Allen.
She is survived by: husband, Jack of Udall, children, Brenda Blunt of Lenexa, Randall of Udall and Cory
and Cassie of Udall, 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren as well as her sister and brother-in-law,
Diana and Fred Studer of Lenexa KS.
Visitation: Thursday, March 4, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Smith Mortuary - Mulvane 501 SE Louis
Blvd. Mulvane, KS 67110. Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Friday, March 5th, 2021 also at Smith Mortuary.
