Anover, KS - Mary Ellen Brown, 90, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021. Mary was born on Thursday, September 4, 1930 in Nixa, Missouri to George Elmer and Nona Grace (Herndon) Young. Mary was married to Bob Brown on February 19, 1988 in Las Vegas, NV. She had worked as a waitress for several years. Mary loved to read, watch Nascar, baseball and horseracing. She loved Las Vegas and gambling as well.

Mary is survived by her husband Bob; children Virgil Snider of Wichita, Rebecca (Bill) Snider-Law of Wichita, Mary Snider of Wichita, Tammy (Basil) Sherman of Haysville; step-children Nancy Carter of Sebastopol, CA, Ed (Susan) Brown of Tucker, GA; grandchildren Kevin, Jason, Todd, Corey, Matthew, Thaddeus, Tabitha, Lara, Michael, George and Basil II; and 22 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Jackie Ford, siblings Nola, Joyce, Jewell, Florence, Marcella, George, Verlin, Melvin and Kenneth.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 29th, from 5-7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Rosary will be on Saturday, January 30th at 9:30 a.m. and Funeral Mass will start at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Andover. The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the ALS Foundation (Keith Worthington Chapter), left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
