David was born on September 13, 1957 in Chester, Montana to Adrian Dennis and Mary Ann (Evans) Riley. He attended schools in Sims Montana where he lived for the first 18 years of his life. He later moved to Salem, Oregon where he resided for the last 46 years. David served honorably in the United States Navy during Vietnam and for the rest of his life had a career as a chef in various restaurants. David enjoyed watching TV, listening to music and playing Keno. David had a big heart for animals. He loved his fur babies Princess, Laddy, Tiger, Buttons, 1 Spot, 2 Spot, Avalange. David was an exceptional uncle who adored his nieces and nephews and they all loved him like a granddad. David passed away on February 17, 2021 in Salem, Oregon at age 63. He was preceded in death by his parents Mary Ann and Adrian Dennis Riley; sister, Linda and brother John. He is survived by his siblings Kerry (Riley) Lucas, Judy (Riley)Collums, Adrian Riley and James Riley in addition to all of his nieces and nephews.
