James Jonathan “Jim” Perry Jr., 74, of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on February 12, 2021. Born in Pennsylvania on August 18, 1946.Jim was a family oriented man who loved hosting and attending family gatherings over the years. He will be remembered always for his sense of humor, his art of joke telling, and most memorably his laugh and smile. His passion for cars spanned the decades. He enjoyed attending car shows and showcasing from his own collection. He also enjoyed meeting his friends for breakfast. Jim retired from a 30 year career with First Energy. He was also an active member of St. Lad’s Club in Lorain. Jim had a large social circle and was loved by many and will be dearly missed.He is lovingly survived by his son, James Jonathan (Mandy) Perry III; grandchildren: Joseph John Jr., Joshua Jarett, and Jillian Janelle Perry; brothers, Robert (Denise) Perry and Thomas Perry, as well as many other family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, James and Bernita (nee Hoskinson) Perry and by his son, Joseph John Perry Sr.Visitation will be held at Sunset Chapel located 6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070 on Wednesday, February 17th 2021 from 12-2pm. Funeral service will be at 2pm and burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, consider making charitable donations to the ALS Association. https://www.als.org/donate
