Preceded in by brother, Junior Karl, surviving are siblings, Robert Kirby of Mineral Wells, WV and Reba Brett of Columbus, OH and many nieces and nephews.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War, returned to WV and in 1973 relocated to FL where for the rest of his life was involved in the performing arts at local theaters, as set designer and backstage manager. In 1975 he was presented an Oscar by the City of Orlando for his backstage work. He received awards and honors for his performing arts activities. He was an accountant for Barnum & Bailey Circus, Sea World and other entertainment industries and retired from Jackson Hewitt after 26 years of service. Per Arthur's request, there will be no service. Arrangements are by Newcomer Cremations in Winter Park, FL. Published in the Orlando Sentinel February 16, 2021.
