Edward was born in Hanover. He was raised in New Freedom on the family farm where he worked. He was the son of the late Martha Fisher. He graduated from Susquehannock High School; Class of 1966. Edward served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later worked at both Motts for 7 years and Fleming Foods for 22 years. Edward was very active as a Steward of Teamsters Local 430. He was a lifetime member of the New Freedom VFW, Post 7012 and attended the Glenview Alliance Church. He loved traveling and camping with his family and taking his grandchildren on rides on his John Deere tractor. He and his wife traveled to many places; however, his favorite was their trip to Hawaii.
In addition to his wife Carol, he is survived by two step-sons Philip S. Fry and Jason M. Fry and his wife Luci; two daughters Janene L. Fry and her wife Kristin and Sherry Barrow and her husband Wayne; five grandchildren Sara J., Justin M., Kate-Lynn M., Ronan J., and Nathan P.; three step grandchildren William, Zachary, and Arlo; three great grandchildren Isaac, Griffin and Ryker; brother David Fisher and his wife Wanda.
