Angel Marie Jackson, born Jan. 21, 1972, passed from this life on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, after a short illness when she succumbed to COVID-19. Angel went to Rosary Catholic School, Putnam City Schools and The University of Oklahoma. She was a die-hard Sooner fan and loved football and basketball.
Her friends and relatives remember her for her intelligence, quick wit, sense of humor and beauty. Her honesty could be disarmingly direct and somewhat embarrassing for those around her, as in the time she was shopping in a Petco and saw a store clerk in the aisle. She walked over to the stranger and said, "Dude, you need to XYZ." When asked why, she said, "He needed to know." At the time of her death, she was employed at the Farzaneh and Patel Law Firm. Though her time there was short, she was bursting with enthusiasm, ideas, and future plans. She was able to summon talent in whatever areas she applied herself and had a long successful career in marketing.

Angel began her love affair with dogs at an early age. Before she found her own loving babies, she volunteered as a foster parent with a dog rescue, the Bella Foundation. She also volunteered her time to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Her shih-tzus Henry and Millie were the light of her life.
Clotheshorse that she was, she adored dressing up and, even in casual situations, always wore perfectly coordinated clothing, tastefully matched accessories and flawless makeup. Her lustrous black hair and beautiful skin were two of the many gifts she received from God. Her faith sustained her throughout life, and she had a strong belief that she would see her cherished Mee-maw and Grandpa Flores in the Eternal Kingdom.

Angel leaves behind her parents, Jack and Carmen Jackson; grandmother, Helen McDonald; uncles and aunts, Chris, Phil, Mark, and Natalie Jackson; Jon and Susan Flores; Ed and Rose Mary Story; and beloved cousins. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church. Her great-grandpa Fred Johnson told Carmen the first time he met Angel, "Always dress her in red." And so she did. Published in Oklahoman on Jan. 31, 2021.
