He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Vivian Williams and a son, Gerald Clinton Williams.
He was a member of Cohutta Presbyterian Church as well as a Vietnam veteran having received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and National Defense Service Medal.
Survivors include his daughter, Dallen Ashley Williams of Nashville, TN, son and daughter-in-law, Phillip Richard (Cynthia) Williams of Resaca, GA, three sisters, Becky Pritchard of Dalton, Emily Noblett of Cohutta and Patty Carr of Dallas, GA, three brothers and sister-in-law, Joe (Brenda) Williams of Conyers, GA, Parker Williams of Cohutta and Gerald Williams of Chatsworth, GA, granddaughter; Stephanie Williams Jeffers, two great-grandchildren, Aidan Williams and Logan Jeffers.
Mr. Williams will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery. No services will be held.
