Dale was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on November 1, 1943 to Violet (Lockner) Porter and Dale Porter, Sr. His childhood was spent in Beloit, WI and Rock Falls, IL. He graduated Rock Falls Township High School in 1961.
After graduating high school, Dale moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to further his education at the University of Utah, while also serving in the United States Naval Reserves.
On January 29th, 1966, Dale married Shelia Kay Kozak of Brigham City, Utah.
He graduated in August 1966 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Services, Minoring in Electrical Sciences. Following his graduation, Dale enlisted in the United States Air Force and attended basic training in San Antonio, Texas. After completing basic training and receiving orders, Dale and Shelia moved to Selma, AL and was stationed at Craig Air Force Base, where he served as an electrician on the flight line. They divorced in 1984.
Dale moved to Apache Junction, AZ in 1985 where he was employed as a building inspector at the city of Mesa. He later took a position as an engineering inspector for the city of Chandler in 1985 and retired in 2006.
He met and married, Linda Ellen Amadio in 1996. After his retirement, he and Linda enjoyed traveling to parts of the unknown as well as the outdoors and visiting family in California and Utah. They shared 25 years of adventures, laughter and love.
Dale belonged to several Masonic bodies; Amity Lodge No. 23 Free & Accepted Masons in Brigham City, Utah where he held the positions of Senior Deacon, Junior Warden, Senior Warden and was Master Mason in 1985 and Apache Lodge No. 69 in Mesa, AZ where he held the position of Worshipful Master in 1988.
He loved hunting, fishing and old Western movies but above all, Dale loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Dale Morgan Porter Sr., Mother, Violet Leah Porter and Son, Brian L. Porter (1967).
Services were held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery, Mesa AZ. Interment at Mountain View cemetery.
