She is survived by four children; Carol Sloan (Doug), of Terre Haute; Jeff Hill (Cyndy) of Mukilteo, Washington; Carl Hill of Terre Haute; and Christy Lybass (David) of North Palm Beach, Florida; grandchildren James Hill II, Renae Hill, Michael Lybass, Elizabeth Lybass, and Jason Sloan as well as a half-brother, Steven Hutson, of Findlay, Ohio.
Judy worked at many different types of jobs but spent many years working in the Payroll Department of Indiana State University and as an Administrative Assistant at Ivy Tech Community College until retirement. Her retirement job was walking 22 steps out her backdoor to work next door as a part-time receptionist for Advance Chiropractic.
Her biggest thrills came later in life when she was able to travel with Christy's family to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Yellowstone, the Panama Canal, and a Disney Cruise in the Caribbean. Those trips were a dream come true for her.
Jim and Judy were active in various Baptist churches, but their final years were spent as members of the West Terre Haute Baptist Church. While living with her daughter and son-in-law, she attended Central Christian Church. Judy was a faithful and active 50-year member of Pimento Chapter #516 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a Past Matron and Former Grand Representative.
