PIERCE, Frances (Scott) (Age 83) passed away February 10th, 2021 at the age of 83. She was born July 27th, 1937 to Roy and Agnes Scott. She grew up on the family farm on Peone Prairie and graduated from Mead High School in 1955. She received a degree from Washington State College. She went to work for the Social Security Administration where she met her husband, Lydel Pierce. They were married December 30th, 1961 and enjoyed 59 happy years together. They had two children. Frances was a Girl Scout leader and also very active at First Covenant Church, and later at "The Gathering House." She was a Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School leader for many decades. She and Lydel were 30 year season ticket holders for WSU football games and made several trips around the country cheering on the Cougars. They also spent time enjoying the beaches and lighthouses on the Oregon Coast every year.

Frances is survived by her husband, Lydel; her daughter Lisa (Alan) May; her son Scott Pierce and her brother, Norman (Sharon) Scott.

Due to COVID restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 18th at 12:30 at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Riplinger Funeral Home and Crematory, Spokane, WA entrusted with arrangements.
