Mr. John Calvin Myers, one of the most reputable and best known citizens of Sligo, died at his home in that place Friday, Dec,. 9, 1921, at 9:35 p.m., aged 66 years, 7 months and 25 days.
The deceased was born April 14, 1855.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Martha Myers, Sligo, and eight children as follows: Charles Myers, Sharon; Frank Myers, Sharpsville; Messrs. Curt and Ross Myers, Mrs. Alice Blair and Mrs. Margaretta Blanchard, all of Sligo; Mrs. Pearl Harnish, St. Petersburg, and Mrs. Jennie Hartzell, of Knox. Also twenty-six grandchildren.
He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Alice Johnson, Middletown, Conn., and five brothers, namely: Morgan Myers, New Bethlehem; Augustus Myers, Rimersburg; Edward and James Myers, Sligo, and Frank Myers, Gary, Indiana.
The funeral was held on Monday following his death, the services being held in the Methodist Church of Sligo.
