SHAMROCK - C.B. "Joe" Henderson, 98, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Joe G. Jernigan, pastor, and Rodney Weatherly officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Claude Bailey "Joe" Henderson was born Aug. 17, 1909, in Hillsboro to James William and Nora Evangie Bruton Henderson. He married Annie Margarette Beaty on Oct. 26, 1930, in Sayre, Okla.

Joe was a farmer in the Kelton community for 73 years before moving to Wheeler. He was a member of the Canadian Production Credit Association for 50 years and served on the board of directors for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Joel Dean Henderson and wife Donnie of Amarillo and James Ray Henderson and wife Annie of Tuttle, Okla.; a brother, Ernest Henderson of Greenville; two sisters, Billie Jean Weisenbaker of Mesquite and Mildred Gierhart and husband Milton of Shamrock; five grandchildren, Debra Weatherly, Tanya Gonzales, Ty Henderson, Cheryl Carry and Tera Bradstreet; 11 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
