Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late John F.V. Bracken and Elizabeth (Kruse) Bracken.
Carolyn lived and raised her family in Pawtucket as an active volunteer in all her children's activities and sports. She enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband for many years. When her children were grown, she returned to work as a Customer Service Representative for NEPTCO, Inc. before retiring with her husband to enjoy time on their boat.
They moved to Middletown, R.I., into a home they built with views of the East Passage. It was a home she was so proud of and a wonderful place to entertain family and friends with amazing sunsets.
She will be forever remembered by her children and grandchildren for her wit, her devout Catholic faith, her love of Irish music, and her love for her family
Carolyn was the loving mother of Susan Kuchman (Stephen), Mark Porter (Karen), Beth Ann Keeffe (Richard), and Patricia Turner (Thomas), cherished grandmother of Patrick Keeffe, Molly Keeffe, and Griffin Keeffe; and caring sister of Elizabeth Herman of Oklahoma City, OK.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her three brothers, Robert, Jack, and William Bracken.
A visitation was held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown.
A Mass of Christian Burial follow ed in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 909 W. Main Rd., Middletown. Her burial was private in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Lucy Catholic Parish, 909 W. Main Rd., Middletown, RI 02842, will be appreciated.
