George Ernest Robertson, 80, died on Sunday, February 14, 2021.

George was born in Bolivar, Missouri to Raymond and Dorless Robertson on January 27, 1941. George was a member of the graduating class of 1959 from Mansfield High School (Mansfield, MO) where he participated in varsity basketball, track, and baseball. Shortly after he graduated high-school, George enlisted in the United States Navy. George served on the USS Tidewater and USS Edson naval ships where he was a radioman and earned accommodations and awards which include: Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, and Combat Action Ribbon. George reenlisted in 1964, where he would eventually be honorably discharged in 1969, fulfilling 10 years of service in the United States Navy. After completing his service in the military, George started his next career at the Ford Motor Company Assembly Plant in Claycomo, Missouri, where he would continue to work until his retirement in 2001. On May 19, 1972, George married Joy Ann Senciboy, where they spent a beautiful 48 years and 9 months together.

George is survived by his wife, Joy, daughter, Eva Jean Scoma (David), son, Lee Roy McDaniel, grandchildren: Robyn Shelly (Josh Shelly), Christy Scoma, David Scoma Jr., Matt Scoma (Sami), Matthew Morris (Carmie), Melissa Morris (Josh Sutton), Zachary McDaniel, Corey Scoma, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services for George will be at Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs, on Friday, February 19, 2021: Visitation will be from 11am - 12pm (noon); Funeral Service will start at 12pm (noon). Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.

Memorial Donations may be made to The Parkinson Foundation of the Heartland or to one of the many foundations that support Veterans.
