Charles Alexander Burton, age 78, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021. He was born August 1, 1942 in Orlando, Florida to the late Bynum Cooledge and Helen Cottrell Burton. Charles worked for the US Postal Service, enjoyed yardwork, sports and travel. Mr. Burton is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sarah Burton, children, Craig (Nathalee) Burton of McDonough, Georgia and Cheryl (Rickey) Miller of Tampa, Florida. Four grandchildren, Amirah Miller, Dante Miller, Skye Burton and Jaylon Burton. Also his siblings, Denise Lloyd of South Orange, New Jersey, Phyllis Tippett of Newark, New Jersey, Anita Barrow of Newark, New Jersey and (Faye) Mary Taylor of Columbia, South Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Funeral Services will be held for Mr. Burton at 11:00am on Friday, February 19, 2021 in our chapel. Burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
