Mary “Janie” Kirk, of Winston, Georgia, passed away on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2021. She was born on December 13, 1930 in Atlanta, Georgia, daughter of the late James Monroe Carson and the late Mae Bridwell Carson. She loved dancing, shopping and her church, East West Church on Hurt Road in Marietta, Georgia.
She is survived by her children: Marlyn Kirk; Jeff Kirk; and Angie Kirk and husband, Mike McConnell; grandchildren: Brett Kirk and wife, Samantha; Sage Kirk; Colbie Kirk Rohrer and husband, James; Carson Kirk McConnell; Peyton Kirk; Alex Kirk Farrell; Andie Kirk McConnell; and Sidney Kirk; one great-granddaughter, Heaven Leah Kirk.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: E. Kirk; daughter: Stacey Kirk; and brother: James Carson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 20, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
