Cecil James Watts Sr., 82 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born on July 25, 1938 in Leslie, Arkansas to the late Otto and Vera (Branscom) Watts.

He was also preceded in death by his son, Johnny DuWayne Watts.

Cecil "Jim" served in the U.S. Navy for 27 years as a member of a combat air crew in Korea and Viet Nam off aircraft carriers. He also retired after 20 years from the Ford Truck Plant on Chamberlain Ln.as an electrician. Jim was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of SGI-USA. The Soka Gakkai International is a grassroots lay Buddhist organization on Bardstown Rd. It is based on the belief that all people are created equally and should encourage one another to overcome life's difficulties while striving for our dreams and the peace of our communities.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Janet Martin-Watts, sons, Cecil "Jimmy" Watts, Jr., Joseph P. Watts, and daughters, Shannon Watts and Tricia Koch, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

There will be no funeral but a memorial will be held at a later date at SGI-USA center or outdoor pavilion at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Arrangements by Newcomer - E. Louisville Chapel
