Margaret E. Bailey 1942 – 2021 West Winfield

Margaret E. Bailey, 79, of West Winfield, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on February 13, 2021.

She was born on January 5, 1942 in Utica, the daughter of Francis and Mary Frances (Campeau) Sanderson and was an alumni of Bridgewater Central Schools.On November 22, 1958, Margaret was united in marriage to Clyde A. Bailey in the Federated Church of West Winfield and shared a blessed union of 56 years until his passing on February 19, 2014. She was employed as a Nurses Aide with Harding Nursing Home, Mohawk Valley Nursing Home and Kimberly Home Care.

Margaret was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid bowler and a member of the Bridgewater Bowling League. Margaret was also very active with the Bridgewater Seniors and the Bridgewater Alumni Association.

Surviving are her daughters, Deborah Nichols, Richfield Springs, Suzanne Bailey, West Winfield and Charleen (Jack) Orendorff, Edmeston; son, Clyde (Tammy) Bailey II, Cassville; grandchildren, Rhiannon (Derek) Suhocki, Alyssa Bailey and Cody Bailey; great grandchildren, Jaceyn and Jade; sister, Mary Jane Nagel and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Bonnie and Kaye; brother, John Sanderson and son-in-law, Jeffery Nichols.

Margaret’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to very special close friends, Marna Armstrong, Ellen Layton and Gary Orcutt for all their kind loving care and compassion.

Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 1 – 2:30 pm at Dimbleby Funeral Homes, Inc., 365 W Main St., West Winfield. Funeral services will commence at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial will be in the spring in East Winfield Cemetery.
