Mrs. Murphy, 69, of Beaver Creek, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 13, 2021, in her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was a retired teacher of thirty-three years from the Evangeline Parish School Board. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, gardening and crafting. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Lydia Fontenot.
Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include her loving husband of fifty-one years, Don Murphy, of Beaver Creek; four sons, Jeff Murphy and his wife, Gina, of Beaver Creek, Justin Murphy and his wife, Brookie, of Beaver Creek, Ryan Murphy and his wife, Christy, of Beaver Creek and Ethan Murphy and his wife, Haley, of Turkey Creek; two sisters, Shirley Beers and her husband, Herb, of Orange, TX. and Jean Inglet and her husband, Wayne, of Tyler, TX.; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, Pine Prairie, on Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, February 19, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
