Pierson L Koons a well known citizen died at his home on Mulberry Street Saturday night of Bright's disease aged 54 years. He was born in Loyalsock township Apr 1 1842. He was raised on the farm, he was educated at the public Schools & Dickinson Seminary He was with the lumber firm of E B ? for 7 years. He then engaged in the grocery business with John M Neese. Later the company became Neese & Koons. In April of 1873 he married Alice A Neese the daughter of John Neese of Muncy. She survives him with a son George Koons.
