Rebecca Ann Gardner, 75, of Lake City, FL passed away February 13, 2021 following a brief illness. She is preceded in death by her husband, James "Gator" Gardner; parents Laymon Connie Brannon and Martha Eloise Thompson Brannon; a sister, Thelda (Manuel) Brannan, and grandchild, Hayley Larson. She is survived by her son, Jimmy (Lisa) Gardner of Wellborn; daughter, Diane (Henry) Douglass of Lake Butler; Stepson, Tommy Lee (Lisa) of Lake City; grandchildren, Jamie (Heather) Gardner, Lyndsey Gardner, Tyler Barrs, and Madison Douglas; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Barnhart, Kaydence Gardner, Case Gardner, and Kavin Paul; Stepmother, Mary Brannon; brother, Laymon (Ellen) Brannon of Walnut Grove, Georgia; Stepsister, Karen (Ashley) Ellis of Lake City, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Gardner was employeed with the United States Postal Service for 27 plus years, until retiring after some health issues. Dees Parrish Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. The viewing will be at the Funeral Home from 11:00 to 12:30 on Thursday, February 18, 2021 with graveside services to follow at the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
