Wuzzy was born November 28, 1940 in Clay Center, Kansas, son of Charles Eldred “Ike” Harper and Nellie Harper. He graduated from Old Randolph High School in 1958, later joining the US Army. He married Sherilyn Specht on December 22, 1963. Wuzzy moved to Holbrook, Nebraska in the early 70’s to start his own hay and trucking business, called Harper’s Hay Barn. He married Pauline (McQuiston) Schulz on August 16, 1985.
During his life Harper always enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, playing cards, and had been known to gamble a time or two. Later in life he also enjoyed searching for arrowheads, puttering around in his shop making knives, and looking through boxes of pictures from Old Randolph, telling stories about each of them to anyone who was interested.
A family Celebration of Life for Harper and Pauline will be this spring.
