Glenn "Poncho" F. Reed Jr., 59, of Taylorville was called home at 9:20 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2020.

Glenn was born September 15, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked as the manager of Elite Auto Body for 18 years. He was a St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed hunting and fishing, Nascar and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Lillian and Thomas Blessent; his daughter and son-in law Christina (Reed) and Charlie Durbin; grandchildren: Christopher Durbin and Cayley Durbin; sister Glenda Washington, all of Taylorville and nephews Leonard "Jay" Washington III, Steven Washington and Rod Washington of St. Louis, Missouri as well as an aunt, uncle and several cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Glenn Reed Sr. and grandparents Bela and Mary Durbin and Frank and Molly Reed.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m, Saturday, January 25, 2010, at the Taylorville Evangelical Free Church. Don Beetem and Jonathon Sorenson will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
