Matthew Allan Bailey was born Sarasota, FL. Matt graduated from Manatee High School in 2003, then from UNF in Jacksonville with a degree in Building Construction. He was a free spirit who loved to travel, hunt and fish. His love of the water drew him to St. Thomas, VI to pursue his dream of becoming a boat captain. He was working as a first mate on a charter fishing boat.
Matt loved life and lived it to the fullest. His unique personality and sense of humor was infectious to those around him. Matt will be dearly missed!
He is survived by his beloved family parents Terry and Sheri Bailey, brother Chris Bailey, sister-in-law, Carla and nephew, Sean of Ocala, FL. Matt also had twin brothers, Mark Bailey of Bradenton, FL, and Patrick Bailey of Pembroke Pines, FL. He leaves behind his "best friend" yellow lab, Schooner. He is survived by loving aunts, uncles and many cousins. Matt was loved by his many friends, too many to list.
As was Matt's style, a Celebration of Life, "beach casual" will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church On Wednesday, April 16th at 4 PM followed by a reception at his childhood home.
