Mrs. Mary Ellen Ledford Gregory, 86, died Sunday, February 14, 2021, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at Chester memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Etters officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, February 16, at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester, SC. Attendees will be asked to wear a face covering and observe social distancing with only 10 people allowed in the building at a time.
Mrs. Gregory was born August 1, 1934 in Crabtree, NC and was a daughter of the late Lloyd D. Ledford and Martha Miller Ledford. She attended the schools of Chester County, SC and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Joe Gregory (Anne) of Cedar City, UT and Ray Gregory (Donna) of Chester; three grandchildren, Katie Southerland (Jamie) of High Point, NC, Jolie Gregory of Winston-Salem, NC and Kara Plyler (Danny) of Chester, SC; five great grandchildren, Gregory and Susanna Southerland of High Point, NC, Kippy Flinchum of Winston-Salem, NC and Marley and Ethan Plyler of Chester, SC; three sisters, Lula Reid of Richburg, SC and Blonnie Robinson and Juanita Martin both of Chester, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Gregory.
