Ashley Lee, 34, of Waycross died Sunday morning at her mother's residence after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Waycross, Ashley graduated from Charlton Christian Academy, and worked numerous jobs in the Waycross community. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Blackshear. She had a wonderful sense of humor and could brighten any room with her personality. More than anything, she loved every moment she was able to spend with her sons. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Baby Hannah, and her brother, Eric Wilkinson.
Ashley is survived by two sons, Ian Lee of Millwood, Ayden Lott of Mershon, her mother, Penny Murray and her husband Wayne of Waycross, her father, Greg Lankford of Waycross, her brother and sisters, Jamie Traylor of Louisiana, Ethan Murray and his wife Candra of Waycross, Alisha Darnell and her husband Kelly of Virginia Beach, Virginia and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church in Blackshear. Burial in Swamp Road Baptist Church Cemetery will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m.
