Lori Kay Smith, age 49, of Holt, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor.
Lori was born January 24, 1972 in Alma, the daughter of Jerry and Sharon (Osterhout) Brecht.
She graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1990. Lori married Brad Smith on August 2, 1992 at the Alma College Chapel.
She was currently working for the MSU Campus Corner Store and had worked for Dr. Smith and as an X-Ray office manager at the Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Alma. Lori was a U of M fan and was a social person that enjoyed hosting friends and family at her pool. Lori loved being a mom and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Brad Smith, son Joshua Smith, parents Jerry and Sharon Brecht, mother-in-law Patricia Smith, brothers Mark (Terri) Brecht, Jeff (Sheri) Brecht, brother and sister-in-law Jodi (Ross) Jeffrey, Gregory Smith, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lori was preceded in death by her grandparents, son Jacob J. Andrew Smith, father-in-law Clayton Smith and nephew Jordan Brecht.
Private family funeral services will be held at the Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma. Interment will be in Sumner Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
