Rodney Windell Brown, Jr., also known as "Bird," age 39, Charles City, VA received his wings on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. He began his life on October 16, 1981, the son of the late Rodney Brown, Sr., and Sarah Morris Brown. He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Brown, Sr.; sister, Tannisha "Tanny" Brown; and maternal grandfather, Stevenson Morris.

Bird accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized. He was a graduate of Charles City High School with the mighty class of 1999. He recently obtained his CDL license and began his dream career as a truck driver.

Bird's heart and soul was in fishing and hunting. He was a proud member of Tater Run Hunting Club. He was a country boy to his core.

Bird leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Sarah Brown; God-brother, Calvin "Booty" Crawley; maternal grandmother, Alice Morris; paternal grandparents, Earnest and Juanita Brown; maternal great grandmother, Maude Washington; two special and devoted cousins, Jawan Morris and Monta Brown; devoted friend, Nichelle "Nikki" Charity; a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Wilson & Associates' Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Little Elam Baptist Church Cemetery, 8840 Church Lane, Charles City, VA.

The family has entrusted final arrangements to Wilson & Associates Funeral Service - East Chapel, 5008 Nine Mile Road, Richmond, VA.
