GREENVILLE, SC -- Milford Leonard Bannister, 76, of 105 Brookdale Avenue, husband of the late Francis Jordan Bannister, died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Anderson County, a son of the late Amos and Demmie Lloyd Bannister, he was a retired service station operator with Colonial Oil Company and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.
Surviving are two sons, Chris Bannister and Todd Bannister, both of Greenville; two daughter, Beth Johnson of Greenville, and Tammy Thompson of Clayton, NC; three brothers, Junior Bannister of Eloree, Wendell Bannister of Belton, and Jimmy Bannister of Anderson; one sister, Wilma Witt of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Derek Bannister, Camron Bannister, Christy Thompson, Matthew Thompson, Tony Thompson, April Thompson, and Tiffany Thompson; and by two great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 12:00 noon Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Joe Rollins officiating.
Memorials may be made to Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605.
The family is at the residence.
