DELOS A. BALL

Delos A. Ball, 77, 863 Suzanne Lane, Elgin, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1982, in Sherman Hospital, Elgin.

He was born May 29, 1904 In Kingston, the son of James and Alice Baker Ball.

He married Mabel Hollngsworth Dec. 6, 1979, who survives.

He operated the B & G Boiler and Welding Co. in Elgin for many years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Watch City Arte No. 1047.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Ronald R. of Elgin, Delos J. of South Elgin, and Kenneth L. of Burlington; one daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Betty) Oman of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Howard of Union, Ray of Huntley, and Floyd of Truman, Ark. ; and four sisters, Viola Knaak of Elgin, Mrs. Harold (Leila) Diedrick of Daggett, Mich., and Sadie Oglesby and Mrs. Elmer (Edna) Harting, both of Huntley.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were two children in infancy, and two brothers, Clarence and William.

Funeral services were held in Elgin on Tuesday afternoon followed by burial in Lakewood. Memorial Park Cemetery.

Delos was married at least three times, first to Lucille I. Berg, the mother of his six children. On 4 Nov 1938, he married Lucille Katherine Brewer. Per the obituary, he married Mabel Hollingsworth in 1979. The two children who died in infancy were Rober D. Ball (1926-1927) and Peggy Mae Ball (1934-1935).
