Visalia, CA - Sandra Perry of Visalia, California died suddenly on January 16, 2021 due to an escalation from her long fight against Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She was 68.

Born on July 10, 1952 in Tulare, CA to Samuel and Mary Perry. Sandi attended Delano High School, received her Bachelor's degree from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, and later earned her teaching credentials. She taught in Catholic schools in the San Luis Obispo area and even employed her singing and musical talents in a band named Barabbas before returning to the San Joaquin Valley to help her father run the family farm.

Sandi became a successful farmer in her own right, one of the very few female farmers in the San Joaquin Valley at the time. She was the first single woman in the state of California to be granted a Farmer's Home Administration Loan. Sandy served on the Calcot Ltd. advisory board, a statewide cotton organization. She was also a key collaborator for the University of California's cotton research.

After the death of her parents, Sandi retired from farming, moved to Visalia and started her true calling. She worked tirelessly for God, the Church, the Visalia Altar and Rosary Society, her prayer groups, and the St. Joseph's Christian Supply. Though dealing with health issues, her demeanor and cheerfulness described her as anything but broken. She worked hard and played hard, and she loved to win! She was smart, organized, and devoted to all.

Sandi was a phenomenal aide working in the Medicare health insurance field for those in need of guidance, an amazing seamstress, fantastic baker, wonderful hostess, exceptional puzzle solver, avid card player, and a prayer warrior. She loved volunteering and giving freely of her time and energy to the many charity organizations, clubs, her friends, her "Delano Divas", and most importantly her family. She was the one everyone could count on. Sandi would not give up or give in to her illness. She fought to the end. She was our mom, sister, aunt, friend, a true Love, and we miss her!

Sandi is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Samantha and Joseph Agundez; her 4 sisters: Marie and her husband Terry; Terri Moreno and her husband Gilbert; Dorothy Parker, and Susana Perry. She had 6 nieces: Anjanette, Alicia, Adriana, Ana, Traci, and Kacie; 1 nephew, John; 3 great-nieces: Jazlyn, Molly and Paige; 5 great-nephews Logan, Blake, Carson, Zachary and Jaxon; 1 great-great niece, Natalie, 1 goddaughter, Susannah Stoffels Adams and 1 godson, Christopher Stoffels.

A rosary will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Tulare on February 23rd at 4:00pm. Funeral mass will be held February 24th, 10:00am at the same location. Burial will follow at Tulare District Cemetery. We ask those wishing to pay their respects please follow CDC masking and social distancing guidelines. Peers Lorentz Funeral Services, Tulare, CA.
