Josie, also known as JoMom and Grandma Jo, is survived by three children, John Lyndon (Paula) Wise of Fredonia, Suzanne Helen Wise of Dunkirk and Linda Jo (Edwin) Griewisch, also of Dunkirk. Linda was Josie's loving caretaker the past few years. Josie is also survived by four grandchildren, Sean Paul (Nicole) Wise of Hamburg, Hailey Jean (Tyler) Gajewski of Pittsfield, MA, Ryan John (Eileen) Wise of Dunkirk and Theodore Lyndon Griewisch of Dunkirk; great-grandchildren, Joseph Ryan Wise, Michael Lyndon Wise, Cameron John Wise, Wren Josephine Gajewski, Zachary Cato, Gavin Cato and Gabriella Cato; siblings, Charles Yacklon, Carol Comello, Patricia (Sue Hankins) Yacklon and Rosemary (Eugene) Hilliker; sister-in-law, Dorothy Yacklon; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Yacklon, Jr., and nephews, Joseph Yacklon and Frank Comello, Jr.
Josie spent a portion of her childhood living in Westfield with paternal grandparents, the late Charles and Josephine Yacklon. She graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1956. She was primarily a homemaker and stay-at-home mom and worked at various jobs from time to time.
Josie had a beautiful voice and loved to sing, enjoyed collecting bell and nutcracker figurines, cooking, baking, and was very fond of family get-togethers. We will always remember our JoMom for her love of laughter.
