Bonnie McDaniel McGee, 83, of China Grove passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Woodleaf.

Born in Rowan County on January 22, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William Joe McDaniel and the late Essie Elizabeth Sain McDaniel.

Bonnie was a caretaker and loved her family very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nine older brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Carlos “Fid” McGee, Sr. whom she married on February 10, 1955; son, Carlos Ray McGee, Jr. of Salisbury and foster son, Father Ron Stone of Pigeon Forge, TN; daughters, Judy McGee Day of Salisbury and Teresa McGee of Thomasville; grandchildren, Heather Worrel (Anthony), Katelyn McGee, Wesley Beck, Ricky Payne, Michael Payne, Chuck Payne (Angel) Brandon Turman and Brandon Drew Lamacchia; great-grandchildren; Kendall Howard, Tyler Payne, Ethan Payne, Carley Sue Payne and Skye Worrel.

Service: 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Rowan Memorial Park Chapel in the Pines 4125 Franklin Community Road, Salisbury, NC 28144, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. The Rev. Ronnie Timmons will be officiating burial will follow in the Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Research, 6000 Fairview Road, Charlotte, NC 28210.
