His mother is recorded as Catherine Burkhart who was born in Frederick County, MD in 1735 and died there in 1784. There are no records of either person's gravesite and no FAG Memorials exist for them at present.

His paternal grandfather is listed as George Winter (I), who was born in London, England in 1705 and died in Frederick (town), MD in 1749. His paternal grandmother is recorded as Mary Eve Fletcher, who was born in Scamblesby, Lincolnshire, England in 1702 and died in Frederick (town), MD on an unknown date. Their burial site in Frederick County, MD is not recorded and no FAG Memorials exist for them at present.
