John proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Designated Marksman during WWII and earned the Asiatic/Pacific and American Theater ribbons, the Good Conduct Medal, overseas bars for his service in Egypt and India and the WWII Victory Medal. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career as an aerospace electrical engineer. John enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, Viola, golfing, fishing and wood-working. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, DAV, and American Legion. Preceded in death by his wife, Viola (Weaver) Faulkner and siblings, surviving are children, Sandra (Faulkner) (Robert) Legrow of Titusville, John, Jr (Sally) of Windham, ME, Dana (Elissa) Faulkner of Tewksbury, MA and Paula Faulkner (Michael) Butterworth Wilmington, MA; grandchildren, Christopher Wells, Jennifer (Wells) Wood, Robert Legrow, Sara (Faulkner) McCarthy and Stephanie Faulkner; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held February 16, 2021 at the North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville, FL with burial with Military Honors.Published in Florida Today February 12, 2021.
