Clarence Breabham “Skip” James, III, 71, passed away on February 5, 2021 at his home in California, MD.
He was born on June 28, 1949 in Washington D.C. to the late Clarence B. James, Jr. and Anna Jane Markham James.
On November 29, 1985, Skip married his beloved wife, Anne G. James, in Leonardtown, MD. Together they celebrated over 35 wonderful years of marriage. He had a long career as a dedicated and hard-working manager in automotive sales until his retirement. In his younger years, his hobbies included racing cars at Maryland International Speedway at Budds Creek. He enjoyed cheering on the Washington Redskins and was a member of the Calvert Sticks Inc. field hockey organization where he served as their Administrator. He was the Patriarch for the family and was always there to lend a helping hand and support his family no matter what was going on. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. His family was his greatest pride and joy.
In addition to his beloved wife, Skip is also survived by his children, Clarence B. “Brad” James, IV of Laurel, MD and, Danielle Herbert (Bobby) of Kearneyville, WV and his siblings, Betsy Johnson (Jerry) of Gaithersburg, MD and Jean Faurote (Jim) of Riverview, FL; his grandchildren: Jason Brown, Allison Brown, McKenzie Herbert, and LuLu James; and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sons: Douglas Brown and Daniel Brown, and his grandson, Joshua Holton.
