June 17, 1976 - February 1, 2021

Shannon Danielle Parker, 44, of Tall Timbers, MD, formerly of Modesto, CA passed away of February 1, 2021 in Callaway, MD.

Shannon was born on June 17, 1976 in Modesto, CA to the late Steven Allen Walker and Cheryl Lynn Nunes Russell of Piney Point, MD.

Shannon was hardworking and full of life. She had a strong work ethic, and spent many years doing what she loved, being a waterman.

She married her wife Penny Luckel in 2014. They enjoyed working on the water together.

Shannon loved listening to music; her favorites were Janis Joplin, Alanis Morissette, and Eminem.

She was a social butterfly, she never met a stranger and enjoyed having a good time with her friends. She was very loving and couldn't leave a room without a hug and a kiss. You could tell she entered a room by her distinctive, raspy voice. She had a one of a kind laugh and had no filter. She was athletic growing up and was extremely proud of coaching her daughters' basketball team when they were in grade school.

She is survived by her wife Penny Luckel of Waldorf, MD, her mother, Cheryl Lynn Russell and William Russell, of Piney Point, MD, her children Britni Parker (Augustus) of Lexington Park, MD, Brionna Parker of Tall Timbers, MD, and Shaun Furtado of Piney Point, MD, her siblings, Chad Walker (Amanda) of CA, Shawn Walker (Shannon) of Ceres, CA, Michelle Elliot (Chuck) of Pasadena, MD, and Steven Walker of FL, her grandchildren, Makenna and Tristan Proctor, of Lexington Park, MD, Makeira and Kingsley Robinson of Tall Timbers, MD, and Julie Green, Daniesha Thomas, and Brandon Campbell who were like children to her.

She is preceeded in death by her father Steven Walker, her grandmother Rose Pe-Pe, her uncle Daniel Nunes, and her niece Alexis Thomas.
