MISSOULA - Catherine Christenson, 71, 4720 23rd St., Missoula, MT resident for 26 years, died Monday in a local nursing home.
She was born June 28, 1903 in Russia to Fred and Katharina Vogel. She was a member of the Salvation Army and Ladies of the Moose. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son & daughter Maria Katharina "Steinmetz" Brotzman.
Survivors include five sons, Walter and David, Missoula, Arnold and Reinhart, Stockton, Calif, and Ruben, Greenacres, Wash; five daughters, Margretha Meyer, Caroline Brotzman and Helen Meyer all of Missoula; Alisa Bowman Hermiston, Ore., and Loretta Anderson, Pomeroy, Wis.; two brothers, Clarence Fogel,Hamilton and Robert Vogel, Stockton, Calif; a sister, Freda Schram, Missoula; 24 grandchildren andnine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel with Captain Oliver Lasby of theSalvation Army officiating. Burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.
