Mrs. Elizabeth Agnes Provines, mother of Archibald Clavering Gunter, the novelist, and wife of Attorney Robert R. Provines, died at her home, 1212 Washington street, last night. The death of Mrs. Provines will come as a shock to the novelist, who was a devoted son.

PROVINES--At her late home, in this city, September 23, Elizabeth Agnes Provines (nee Sharples), wife of Robert R. Provines and mother of Archibald Clavering Gunter. Friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral services to-morrow (Wednesday), at 2 o'clock p. m., at her late residence, 1212 Washington street.
